NSU Social Services Club provides 250 Chattogram families with flood relief

Dhaka: The North South University Social Services Club (NSUSSC) carried out a flood relief campaign in Satkania and Banshkhali of Chattogram on August 1, providing emergency assistance to hundreds of families affected by the recent floods.

The humanitarian initiative brought together students, faculty members, and staff of North South University, who participated in distributing relief materials to communities impacted by the flooding.

As part of the campaign, 250 flood-affected families received food packages containing essential daily necessities. In addition, 210 families were provided with roofing materials to help repair homes damaged by the floods and support their recovery efforts.

According to the organizers, the initiative was aimed at addressing both the immediate needs of affected families and assisting them in rebuilding their homes following the disaster.

NSUSSSC said the relief drive reflected the university community's commitment to social responsibility and supporting vulnerable communities during times of crisis.

The club expressed appreciation to students, faculty members, staff, volunteers, and well-wishers whose contributions made the initiative possible.

The relief campaign is part of NSUSSSC's ongoing efforts to engage in community service and humanitarian activities, particularly in response to natural disasters affecting different parts of the country.
