Cox’s Bazar airport to start domestic flights from new terminal on September 28

Dhaka: Domestic flight operations at Cox’s Bazar International Airport will begin from its newly constructed international terminal building on September 28, according to a notice issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB).

The airport authorities have asked all concerned departments and passenger airlines to make necessary operational arrangements ahead of the launch.

In a letter issued on September 24, the airport authorities said CAAB headquarters had conducted an audit and, following discussions on the operational arrangements, decided to start domestic flight operations from the newly constructed terminal from September 28.

The airport authorities asked all departments concerned with airport operations, including ATM, CNS, security, immigration, civil, fire, and other relevant sections, to take the necessary measures.

Station managers of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, US-Bangla Airlines, Novoair, and Air Astra at Cox’s Bazar were also asked to make the required arrangements for operating domestic flights from the new terminal.
