EBL reaffirms commitment to empowering SMEs

Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) marked International SME Day by hosting a special event for SME entrepreneurs, reaffirming its commitment to fostering the growth and development of small and medium enterprises in Bangladesh.

Held recently at EBL’s Principal Branch in Dhaka, the event celebrated the entrepreneurial spirit, recognized the achievements of SME customers, and highlighted the vital role of SMEs in generating employment, driving innovation, and contributing to the country’s sustainable economic growth.

Speaking on the occasion, EBL officials reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs through tailored financial solutions, advisory support, and long-term partnerships that enable businesses to grow sustainably. They also highlighted EBL’s continued focus on strengthening the SME sector through innovative banking products, customer-centric services, and sustainable financing initiatives.

The participating entrepreneurs shared their inspiring business journeys, success stories, and experiences of partnering with EBL in expanding their enterprises.

Among others, Mohammad Salekeen Ibrahim, Head of Asset, and Md. Shabu Munshi, Head of SME Business, along with other senior officials of the Bank, attended the programme.
