HSIA T3 to receive advanced 4G/5G indoor telecom network

Dhaka : Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport's (HSIA) Third Terminal is set to receive an advanced indoor telecommunications network to provide seamless mobile connectivity and high-speed internet services across passenger and operational areas.

According to BSS, state-owned Teletalk Bangladesh Limited has floated a tender for installing the network, and work will begin after the contractor is selected.

The project will deploy an Active DAS supported by around 700 small cells and 635 Wi-Fi units. The BDT 47.63 crore project, funded by the government, will cover key areas of the terminal, including immigration zones, check-in counters, VIP lounges, and cargo facilities.
