MTB sponsors year-long coding program for underprivileged children

Dhaka : Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) has partnered with Dreamers Academy to provide a year-long coding program to 24 underprivileged schoolchildren as part of the bank's corporate social responsibility initiative.

The program is designed to give participating students access to technology education and help them develop skills relevant to Bangladesh's growing digital economy.

Under the initiative, Dreamers Academy will deliver 12 months of project-based learning through its structured curriculum, interactive learning platform, experienced instructors and personalized mentoring. Students will attend regular classes, receive academic support and undergo quarterly assessments. Those who successfully complete the program will receive certificates.

The initiative aims to introduce children to coding, computational thinking and digital problem-solving while helping them develop skills that could support future education and employment opportunities.

Sharif Ahmed, Co-founder of Dreamers Academy, said access to opportunity remains uneven despite talent being widely distributed.

"Every child deserves the chance to develop the skills that will define the future, regardless of their family's financial circumstances," he said, thanking MTB for supporting the initiative.
