Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport becomes platinum sponsor

Dhaka: The 13th
Asian Tourism Fair (ATF) 2026 will be held in Dhaka from September 17 to 19,
bringing together tourism businesses, national tourism organizations and
industry professionals from Bangladesh and abroad.
The three-day event will
take place at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) from 10:00 am
to 7:00 pm each day, with more than 300 booths expected to showcase tourism
products and services.
Thailand, the Philippines
and the Maldives will participate as partner countries, while Malaysia, Nepal,
Bhutan and Sri Lanka will join as feature countries alongside other
international exhibitors.
The organizers said the
fair will include business-to-business networking, seminars, group discussions,
cultural programs and a raffle draw. Tourism stakeholders are also expected to
promote holiday packages and special offers ahead of the winter travel season.
A memorandum of
understanding was signed on September 3 with Crowne Plaza by IHG Dhaka Airport,
naming the hotel as a Platinum Partner of ATF 2026. The hotel will also provide
hospitality support for the Bangladesh Tourism Night & Award, organized by
Parjatan Bichitra.
The MoU was signed by
Ashwani Nayar, Area General Manager, IHG South West Asia, and Cluster General
Manager of Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport and InterContinental Dhaka Airport, and
Mohiuddin Helal, Editor of Parjatan Bichitra and Chairman of the Asian Tourism
Fair.
Mohiuddin Helal, Chairman
of the Asian Tourism Fair, said the event is being positioned as a broader
tourism gathering linked to World Tourism Day 2026, with the aim of promoting
Bangladesh’s destinations and strengthening international industry connections.
