Saudia expands Myanmar access through new airline partnership

Dhaka: Saudia has signed a Special Prorate Agreement (SPA) with Myanmar Airways International, expanding travel options between Saudi Arabia and Myanmar.
In a social media announcement on June 1, the airline said the agreement will allow passengers to book journeys on a single itinerary between Jeddah or Madinah and Yangon, with connections through major regional hubs including Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Dubai.
Under the partnership, travelers will benefit from coordinated itineraries across the networks of both carriers, enabling a more streamlined booking experience and improved connectivity between the two countries.
The agreement also strengthens Saudia’s presence in Southeast Asia by extending its reach into Myanmar through Myanmar Airways International’s network.
Saudia said the partnership is designed to support growing travel demand between Saudi Arabia and Myanmar while offering passengers greater flexibility and convenience when planning international trips.
The airline currently serves more than 100 destinations across four continents and continues to expand its global network through new routes and strategic partnerships.
According to Saudia, these initiatives align with its broader objective of enhancing connectivity and supporting its mission of bringing the world to the Kingdom while providing guests with a wider range of travel options.
The SPA marks the latest step in Saudia’s efforts to strengthen its international network and deepen links with key markets across Asia.
