SF Group picks Changi Airport as its first overseas hub

Dhaka: Chinese express giant SF Group recently selected Singapore's Changi Airport as its first overseas hub, aiming to capitalize on growth in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Oceania.

To formalize the partnership, SF Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Changi Airport Group (CAG). Under the agreement, Singapore will serve as a hub for SF's business across South and Southeast Asia and Oceania.

The two parties said the partnership will leverage Singapore's strategic location and Changi's role as a global consolidation and transhipment hub to support high-value cargo flows and evolving regional supply chain needs.

SF Group's Chairman, Executive Director, and General Manager, Dick Wong, said the company aims to optimize its resources across the three regions through deeper cooperation with CAG.

Wong added that SF is committed to delivering competitive cross-border logistics solutions amid a complex and rapidly changing global trade environment.

CAG's Chief Executive, Yam Kum Weng, said the airport group looks forward to supporting SF as it expands its air connectivity and logistics capabilities at Changi.

SF Group is the largest integrated logistics service provider in China and Asia and the fourth largest in the world.

Its aviation arm, SF Airlines, is China's largest cargo airline, operating a fleet of more than 90 freighters. The airline currently runs daily freighter services between Singapore and Shenzhen.
