Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo engages Japanese recruiters to expand labor migration opportunities


Dhaka: The Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo hosted a special luncheon meeting on June 15 with representatives of key Japanese organizations involved in the recruitment and employment of foreign workers, aiming to strengthen labor migration cooperation and expand employment opportunities for Bangladeshis in Japan.
According to the embassy, the "over-the-lunch" discussion brought together senior officials from several prominent Japanese institutions, including the President and Vice President of the Japan International Trainee & Skilled Worker Cooperation Organization (JITCO), the Chairman of NBCC, the President and CEO of ADSEC Co., Ltd., the CEO of Kanto Holdings, the Representative Director of Global Gates, and other stakeholders associated with Japan's foreign workforce sector.
The meeting focused on increasing Bangladesh's manpower exports to Japan and other international markets, as well as enhancing cooperation in specialized skills development and institutional training programs.
During the discussion, participating companies expressed interest in launching training initiatives to support the development of Bangladesh's human resources and ensure sustainable employment opportunities for Bangladeshi workers in the Japanese labor market. Representatives also discussed the possibility of joint investment projects aimed at strengthening workforce preparedness and meeting Japan's growing labor demand.
JITCO and other participating organizations assured Bangladesh of their full support and cooperation in making the worker recruitment process more effective and dynamic, the embassy said.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan Md Daud Ali reaffirmed the embassy's commitment to facilitating closer collaboration between the two countries and pledged all possible assistance to Japanese partners to ensure the success of the initiative.
He emphasized the importance of creating a more streamlined and accessible pathway for Bangladeshi workers seeking employment in Japan, a market that has emerged as a key destination for skilled and semi-skilled foreign workers amid the country's labor shortages.
The embassy said the discussions reflected a shared commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation in workforce development and labor mobility while promoting sustainable employment opportunities for Bangladeshi nationals in Japan.
